Review of Xavier Toby – White Trash at the Perth Fringe Festival 2013

My partner and I headed out to the Perth Fringe Festival on Thursday night to check out Xavier Toby's comedy act, titled White Trash. With its focus on racism amongst ourselves, our family and friends, and Australia as a whole, I was interested to see how Xavier would tackle this touchy topic while still attempting to get a laugh from the audience.

Head for the Hills in Perth

Let’s face it; Perth is a very flat city in what you would consider a relatively flat state so we tend to get a bit excited about any type of bump in the landscape.

Do You Wwoof? - Wwoofing in Australia

When I told my friend I was taking a gap year in Australia, her first question was, “Are you going to be WWOOFing?” To most people that question would make no sense, but I had been doing research on possible gap year experiences for almost a year and I knew exactly what she was talking about. I told her I didn’t plan to, but it looked like a cool concept. I ended up inadvertently doing a similar program while living in Perth and it was a wonderful experience.
