Holiday Accommodation in Perth

So you are planning a trip to Perth or have just arrived in Perth and need to find some accommodation?

The categories of accommodation can be broadly classed into the following:

Self Contained Accommodation (Holiday Apartments, Serviced Apartments)

Self contained accommodation is suitable for independent travellers who like the convenience of having self catering facilities and amenities. Most of the self contained accommodation, especially apartments are clustered in the Perth CBD. Also try surrounding inner city suburbs less than 5 kilometres from the Perth such as South Perth, West Perth, East Perth, Northbridge, North Perth, Subiaco, Maylands and Victoria Park. For those seeking a bit of luxury, there are some upmarket boutique apartments in the Perth CBD and areas like West Perth near to Kings Park.

Self Contained Accommodation (Houses, Cottages)

Houses including cottages for holiday accommodation are located in the inner city suburbs such as Northbridge, North Perth, and West Perth. There are also choices available throughout the various suburbs depending on the particular location you may have in mind. If you are thinking of staying in a suburb near the coast, try accommodation in the coastal suburbs of Cottesloe, Fremantle, Scarborough, Trigg, Hillarys, Mindarie, and Sorrento.

Bed and Breakfast (B&Bs)

If Bed and Breakfast (B&Bs) places are your cup fo tea, there are some interesting and some historical Bed and Breakfast (B&Bs) to choose from. Try the Perth CBD and suburbs of West Perth, Subiaco, Northbridge, North Perth, Mount Lawley, Nedlands, and Fremantle.

Budget and Backpackers

The majority of the youth hostel accommodation for backpackers and those looking for budget accommodation are located in Perth and Northbridge. Some youth hostels are run by the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) and there are also many independently run backpacker places to choose from.

Hotels/Motels

The old favourites for hotels include the Hyatt Rygency, Parmelia Hilton, Sheraton, Duxton Hotel, Novotel Langley and Rydges. These are the mainstays of corporate accommodation and located in the hub of the Perth CBD on St Georges Terrace, Adelaide Terrace, Hay Street and Mill Street. The Intercontinental Perth Burswood Hotel is next to the Burswood Casino and Burswood Park golf course which are part of the popular Burswood Entertainment Complex located just outside the Perth CBD. There is also motel accommodation available throughout various parts of the city and in the surrounding suburbs to suit various budgets.
