to/from Perth
So
you have enjoyed your time in the West and would like to head across

travel are Qantas, Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Tiger Airways Australia.
Fare prices are competitive between the operators. It's best to

Qantas
is the longest running Australia air carrier with its beginnings
dating back to the 1920s. It was originally named the Queensland
and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd. Today, it is known as
the "Spirit of Australia" and is distinguished by its
iconic kangaroo symbol. Its services are based on a more traditional
business model with the cost of fares inclusive of meals and entertainment.
Virgin
Blue

Virgin
Blue the brainchild of Richard Branson's Virgin Group entered the
Australian market in early 2000 shortly before the collapse of Ansett
in 2001. Its formula of offering "no frills" air flights
has been very successful. You pay for a standard ticket, and have
the option to pay for other extras on board such as meals, entertainment,
and extra leg room.
Jetstar
www.jetstar.com
Jetstar
is owned by Qantas and launched its services in 2004 as a low cost
carrier to give Virgin Blue a run for its money. In November
2007, Jetstar introduced an additional service from Perth to Tullamarine
Airport, Melbourne to add to its existing service from Perth to
Avalon Airport, Melbourne which has been operating since 2006. Note
that if departing from Perth, Jetstar only goes to Melbourne. Jetstar
also provides low cost air travel within other parts of the Asia
Pacific region.
Tiger
Airways Australia

within Australia. Tiger Airways Australia launched its services
in Australia in 2007 and it is headquartered at Tullamarine Airport,
