This is our new segment where we will be featuring different locations around Perth on our website and via our YouTube channel. First up is Hillarys Boat Harbour and Sorrento Quay.

Hillarys Boat Harbour located in the suburb of Hillarys is approximately 23 kilometres north of Perth.

It’s an easy twenty five to thirty minute drive by car depending on traffic, or a leisurely journey by Transperth train and bus.

Some must see things to do during a visit to Hillarys Boat Harbour are:

The Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA)

AQWA showcases some fantastic exhibits where you can bone up about marine life in Perth and WA. It lays claim to being the tenth biggest aquarium in the world, and the largest aquarium of this type in Australia.

A highlight of a visit to AQWA is to take your time to wander through the ninety eight metre under water tunnel. Other exciting options including taking a reef walk in a live reef display, or swimming with the sharks.

Sorrento Quay Boardwalk

The Sorrento Quay Boardwalk has over forty retail shops to browse through including shops offering locally made gifts, clothes, home ware and surfing gear.

There are many dining options to cater for the family. Plus many of the eateries offer the opportunity to catch the sea breeze and to take in some beautiful views of the marina.
