Fun, Food and Wine in Margaret River

The wonderful Margaret River region is now just a three hour drive south of Perth offering a great midweek escape for city dwellers and an easy option for those heading in from other states. The big “problem" is that there is so much choice you can spend as much time deciding where to go as you can enjoying the local produce and scenery.

To make the most of your break think ahead and set a loose itinerary. To help with that, here’s what we did to maximise our chill time and still have plenty of fun, food and wine.

Extinction by Black Swan State Theatre Company has hit the stage at State Theatre Centre of WA. It’s a modern Australian drama with plenty of bite – unearthing the complexities of modern day life and the pressure it exerts on the environment and people.

The play starts with a bang as a mystery man by the name of Harry brings a near extinct Tiger Quoll into the Cape Otway vet practice.

An easy walk to access from the Perth CBD, is the Maylands to East Perth walk which is an easy 2km return trip from Banks Reserve, Maylands to Claisebrook, East Perth.
